A weather model doesn’t make one forecast. Each time it runs, it makes dozens at once, each from a slightly different start. Nimbus counts them: “Rain likely · 51 of 82” means 51 of 82 forecasts bring rain. When they agree, plan on it. When they don’t, Nimbus says so instead of picking one.
The 82 come from ECMWF (Europe) and GFS (US). ICON (Germany), GEM (Canada), ECMWF’s AI model and the UK Met Office add second opinions beside them.
